Trips and Clinics

Official Club Trips

The OKCC runs monthly class II and class III trips aimed at helping paddlers gain experience and meet other members of the paddling community in a supportive environment. These trips are generally held the 1st and 3rd weekend of every month, water levels and weather conditions allowing. To find and sign up for official club trips, check the OKCC Events Calendar or check the OKCC Facebook Group events tab (only members may access the Facebook Group).  Guests of club members are welcome to join these paddles with prior approval from the trip leader.

All participants in official club trips must have a current annual waiver signed and on-file with the OKCC (this applies to both members & guests). Properly fitted helmets, PFDs (life jackets), appropriate immersion gear, whistles, float bags and appropriate footwear are all required on all river trips.

Clinics

From time to time the OKCC offers skill building clinics, led by volunteer instructors. These are small-group trips with a focus on improving and practicing a given skill, offered only to club members.

To find the next clinic, check the OKCC Events Calendar or check the OKCC Facebook Group events tab.

As with trips, a signed waiver, helmets, PFDs (life jackets), proper immersion gear, whistles, float bags and appropriate footwear are all required during on-river clinics.
